Safer for everyone!

We’ve been busy working on a project to make this section of OR 99 in Cottage Grove safer for everyone — whether you’re walking, biking or driving.

Once we have finished our design, we will be ready to select a contractor to help us with construction and anticipate work starting in 2022.

We will:

  • Reconfigure the existing four lane section to have one lane of traffic in each direction with a center turn lane.
  • Add striping to create bike lanes.
  • Construct new sidewalks with improved ADA ramps.
  • Install an enhanced crosswalk with a median island and flashing lights to alert drivers that pedestrians are ahead.
  • Install a new traffic signal at
    W Woodson Place.
  • Repave and add new permanent striping.
