Region 1 Area Commission on Transportation seeks at large member representing active transportation

PORTLAND — The Region 1 Area Commission on Transportation (R1ACT), an advisory board to the Oregon Transportation Commission, is seeking an active transportation member to serve on the 31 member commission.

The purpose of the R1ACT is to broaden regional understanding and perspectives of transportation issues and priorities in Clackamas, Hood River, Multnomah and Washington counties.

As a member of the R1ACT, you along with other members will actively participate in the development of the ACT work plan which supports on the OTC work plan, provide input on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) and advise on other statewide transportation plans and grants before they come before the OTC. R1ACT members serve as a liaison between the ACT and the communities they represent.

The R1ACT meets every other month for two hours in the evenings. Meeting locations are accessible by transit and are accessible and open to everyone. Accommodation needs and interpretation will be provided.
