Portland, Ore. – The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet on Thursday, Sept. 9 at noon to consider the Historic Albina Advisory Board’s recommendation of the Hybrid 3 cover option for the Interstate 5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project.
The Hybrid 3 cover option being considered by the Commission was negotiated in part by Governor Kate Brown and was recommended through consensus by the project’s community stakeholder groups, including the Historic Albina Advisory Board, the Community Oversight Advisory Committee and the Executive Steering Committee. The I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project is committed to supporting a safer, just and inclusive Albina community and greater Portland region. The project will make local, regional, national and international travel more predictable and reduce frequent crashes on the I-5 corridor. The Project will also support Oregon’s economy and create new community connections and opportunities.
