We just posted our 10,000th photo to Flickr, our photo sharing social media site. Appropriately, it was a photo of that shows our cooperation with our sister agencies: The photo shows Transportation Maintenance Specialist Tim Acrey assisting OSP Senior Trooper Jeff Johnson with folding a U.S. flag that survived the Almeda Fire in Phoenix. Acrey is a former U.S. Marine, and was working traffic control in the fire zone.

We started our Flickr page in 2008. It includes not only photos, but videos, memes, infographics, maps and historical photos as well.

Graphic Artist Shelley Crick rounded up some of our top photos in a special commemorative gallery. You can see it in its entirety on our Instagram site.

A fun fact about our most viewed photo: an artist in Paris contacted us for permission to use the photo in a display in the Museé d’Orsay Metro station.
