BAKER/GRANT CO. CHIP SEAL PROJECT UPDATE

Note: the project schedule has changed, please see updated information attached.

John Day – You can expect lane closures, day and nighttime flaggers, pilot cars, loose rock on the road and delays up to 20 minutes along several state highway sections in Baker and Grant counties starting Aug. 3. ODOT crews will be resurfacing sections of OR 7 (Whitney Hwy.), Hwy. 410 (Sumpter Hwy.), U.S. 26 (John Day Hwy.) and U.S. 395 (John Day-Burns Hwy.) in the Baker and Grant County area.

See attached for schedule, specific locations and message to bicyclists, pedestrians, ranchers and local residents.

Please watch for construction in the area, plan extra travel time and slow down to keep crews safe and to prevent loose rock from flying onto other vehicles. Parking restrictions may apply in work zones located in downtown areas.
